Stu Holmes, program Founder, is an ex company Director of a National recruitment agency and someone who ticks all the boxes of life's rock bottoms - jail, drug and alcohol abuse. Along with ongoing experience assisting sufferers of alcohol and drug related consequences, Stu leads the program and is hands on throughout your journey. He is compassionate and believes strongly in social justice and people's well being key to a sustainable environment. He advocates for those with criminal records find their way in society across employment, social connection and legal assistance. His goal is to ensure a personised approach and truly help participants to find meaning and rediscover their best version and purpose.
Paul has years of experience in the construction industry, from domestic, to bigger, 36 million dollar builds. He has also been fortunate enough to have maintained gardens at some of Australia's premier resorts. He has a real passion for gardening spending his free time pottering in his own .
He has battled with drugs and alcohol resulting in years of incarceration .he has real empathy for others struggles, and through volunteering, helps to boost one self esteem, helping others, working as a team, and making a difference in the community.
Cam has been with The Green Collar since he first completed the program in 2022. He has been instrumental in seeing it evolve into a company who now directly assists in the employment and rehabilitation of people. He has had his struggles with the justice system, but put his recovery first and The Green Collar second. He works with people, often recovering addicts first out of jail, to help them find peer support and often other necessities. Cam is a key member of both our volunteer work and our growth.
Adam is another one of The Green Collar's caring and client focused men. With much Lived Experience in a previous life, he comes with empathy and understanding of the challenges associated with reintegration. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance, Adam has diverse professional experiences, including roles at one of the big four consulting firms and engagements in currency trading. His personal journey through significant challenges, including legal issues, addiction and incarceration, has fueled his commitment to self-improvement and aiding others in similar situations. As an active member of Narcotics Anonymous (NA) and Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), and through his work in rehabilitation centers, Adam passionately advocates for recovery and the holistic betterment of individuals—mentally, physically, and spiritually. His efforts are dedicated to the power of resilience and the transformative impact of helping others.
Warren, the gun footballer of the team is switched on, well spoken and loves his new clean and sober life. With a Diploma in HR Management, Private investigators license, SHARC Peer Support Program and enough lived experience on the wrong side of town to have a story, he is now a changed man. With a new outlook on life and coming from 12 months working in a rehab Adam provides assistance in both a formal Program Coaching sense, but also as just a strong advocate for how we can change our lives around. Now a trusted and hard working peer support coach he has helped dozens of men and women vecome better versions of themselves. Loves the gym, helping others and giving back to the community.
CK is one of the smartest and caring members of The Green Collar. His lived experience doing some of the wrong things and prison led him to a life of the right things as a result of hid rock bottom. Multilingual: English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Cambodian and Vietnamese and a master of body language, CK can identify and relate to broad range of people with mental health, addiction and life after jail issues. CK has always been a business man, from owning bakeries, to car shops to labour hire companies. He now spends his time assisting those in need and changing the direction of his life for the better. Hard working and skilled at almost everything, CK is an asset to the team
Juri, a highly valued team member, is one of the very first staff members to have successfully completed The Green Collar Program with Outstanding Participation. He is him self and has a strong affinity with First Nations communities and has been volunteering at various of Not-For-Profit and community outreach organisations. His empathy for others and instictual ability to offer support and strength is a testament to his character. He has experience in construction and various other industries and has faced the struggles of homelessness, alcoholism and jail. And he's come through the other end a stronger and wiser man
Edwina has worked as a Carer and support for those suffering from substance abuse and trauma spanning almost a decade. She has a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. With a career of over 20 years in large publicly listed companies as a Senior Mananger, responsible for staff and customer care, she has a desire to help people from all walks of life. Her ability to assist with those suffering from abuse and trauma provides The Green Collar with someone with the best of both worlds - High care capabilities and professional competency ability.
Paul is a caring and empathetic Program Coach with many years experience in the AOD space. A friendly and professional servant of The Green Collar, Paul was a previous participant who deomonstartes that we provide jobs to those who do this program well.
Alina is one of the brightest and warmest stars of the team. She has high level administration and project management skills. Having spent several years in the Real Estate industry, she now has turned her skill to assisting people in a very different way. She has shown what willingness and determination looks like, by doing our program and continuing to commit to the team. Her persistance has paid off and we're fortunate to have her as our Volunteer Coordinator, assiting with a range of projects for the Green Collar Brigade.
All Green Collar program staff are experienced in assisting other people to become the best versions of themselves. This includes experience in professions such as recruitment and social work, a history of being in jail/institutions and most of us have faced substance abuse problems. We've made a life beyond the trap we were in. We believe that our personal struggles and our own journeys gives us the lived experience to identify and relate to the Green Collar Program particpants. Our coaches are designated and specifically matched to participants based on individual circumstances.
